Legal
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 July 2026
This policy explains how Bali Meditation Center (“BMC”) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use our website and services.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly — such as your name, email, and any details you provide when registering for events, donating, subscribing to our newsletter, or contacting us. We also collect basic technical data (e.g. anonymous usage statistics) to improve the site.
2. Travel and visa information
If you take part in a retreat or program that includes travel or visa assistance, we also collect the details needed to arrange it: your nationality, passport number and expiry date, date of birth, a scan of your passport, an identity photo, and visa or permit documents. This information is used only to process your visa and arrange your airport transport. Passport and visa documents are shared with the visa-processing agent handling your application, solely for that purpose, and are protected by access controls and time-limited links rather than being publicly accessible.
3. How we use it
To confirm and manage your event registrations, process donations, send you updates you have requested, respond to your messages, and operate and improve our services.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate (e.g. payment and email providers) and where required by law.
5. Data retention & security
We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes above and take reasonable measures to protect it. Payment details are handled by our payment providers, not stored by BMC.
6. Your choices
You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time, and you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us.
